Women writers have always occupied a significant place in Assamese Literature. In recent times, questions of women’s place have found intersections with other, multiple positionalities and identities. Issues of caste, class, sexuality, nation, etc. weave their way into literary narratives by women. In this discussion, these new foci will be confronted.
